Vision, Mission and Objectives
 

VISION:

We in PhilCOCHED envision a barrier-free society where people with disabilities are able to achieve their full potential and in which they enjoy the maximum opportunity in determining every aspect of their own lives.

 

MISSION:

To enhance the integral development of every person towards achieving his/her total being and facilitate the best possible participation in the life of the community by:

·         Promoting, protecting and advocating the rights of every person with a disability by creating an inclusive society that enhances acceptance, respect and loving care to all;

·         Ensuring that each person with a disability will be able to meet his/her basic human needs such as food, clothing, shelter, education, physical, psychological and spiritual wellness;

·         Offering consistent and sustained care and support particularly to the most vulnerable, neglected and wounded persons with disabilities

·         Sourcing, gathering and fully utilizing all available materials, human and economic resources towards the achievement of self-reliance and independent living of every person with a disability; and

·         Changing the attitude of society towards persons with disabilities focusing on the sacred dignity and unique potentials of each person rather than focusing on his/her disabilities and limitations.

 

OBJECTIVES:

·         To encourage, promote and aid the development and growth of every Cheshire Affiliate Home and other disabled persons organisations

·         To promote, protect and advocate the rights and welfare of all persons with disabilities in particular the abandoned, neglected, abused children and youth with disabilities, women with disabilities and elderly disabled.

·         To engage, advocate and promote policy development for implementation of laws, ordinances and other instruments for the general well-being of persons with disabilities

·         To promote local and international cooperation and alliances with government, non-government organizations, private sector companies and local communities.

·         To gather, mobilize and utilize all relevant materials, information, data, services, programs, projects, entities and other resources for the improvement, growth and development of persons with disabilities.
