How to Donate to PhilCOCHED
Imagine as a student being told you are not able to attend school alongside your peers simply because a condition you were born with renders you unable to access the school building.
PhP 12,000 (USD 250) would build a ramp for a school enabling a child to study alongside their peers and give them a better chance of a brighter future.
Imagine being unable to afford a place to shelter because you are shunned from getting a job. If disabled persons are not able to find work they inevitably spiral in to a cycle of greater poverty and difficulty.
PhP 4,000 (USD 83) would send a person with a disability to trainings on improving his/her basic technical and soft skills and competencies or PhP 10,000 (USD 208) would enable a person with a disability to start up his/her own business.
Imagine not being accepted to study a course of your choice because course directors didn’t believe you were capable of obtaining the same grades as other non-disabled students.
PhP 26,000 (USD 540) would pay for the tuition fees and lodging costs for a disabled student to attend college for a year.
Imagine not having the resources or means to attend essential rehabilitation programmes necessary for your condition. The CHIIPS programme places licensed/registered therapists who volunteer to support PhilCOCHED’s community based rehabilitation activities.
PhP 10,000 (USD 208) would help support living costs, personal and programmatic expenses for a volunteer for a month.
These are just a handful of examples of real-life prejudices and challenges faced by persons with disabilities every day of their lives, however PhilCOCHED is working towards stamping out these types of exclusion. Your donation, however big or small will contribute towards improving the experiences of persons with disabilities in the Philippines and assist PhilCOCHED in its’ important work making their life experiences immeasurably better.
Please help us reach more people with disabilities in the Philippines by donating to our important activities
